Rocky View County is a municipal district in southern Alberta, Canada, named for its views of the nearby Rocky Mountains to the west. It surrounds most of Calgary, forming the city's northern boundary and most of its western and eastern boundaries. Though predominantly rural in nature, Rocky View County is home to 14 hamlets.

Allen Bill Pond is where the annual photo retreat would be held for photography students at ACAD. A day trip out of the city to spend with one another, reunite with classmates, try out new gear, and meet the first years coming into the program.
